50 from 55 - 45 or Bust! Filibuster Vote Count

LBJ once said, the most important skill you need in the Senate is to be able to count. Bill Frist is counting. He's a little short.

The Filibuster has allies on the Republican side of the aisle in Sens. McCain, Snowe, Chafee, Collins and perhaps Hegel, Specter and/or Warner.

There are two democratic mechanisms in place in the United States Government that are the last walls against facism. The mechanisms are 1) THE SENATE FILIBUSTER & 2) THE US SUPREME COURT. If we as a nation lose these two "checks and balances", we will be on the trash pile of democracies no different than the Roman Republic.
